Czech ammunition manufacturer wins Scandinavian police tender

Czech Vlašim-based ammunition manufacturer Sellier & Bellot succeeded in a tender for a four-year supply of pistol cartridges for the Swedish, Danish and Norwegian police. According to Sellier & Bellot CEO Radek Musil, this contract may open door for the company to other markets. The value of the common tender of the three Scandinavian countries exceeded CZK 400 million and the first consignment of cartridges is scheduled to leave Vlašim at the end of this year. The company will supply non-toxic training pistol cartridges and frangible cartridges with bullets made of pressed metallic powder with plastic and bonding agent additives. While the frangible cartridges are bought from other manufacturers, the non-toxic ones are made and patented by Sellier & Bellot itself.
