There are 102,913 inactive, or sleeping, companies in CR, i.e. 21.18% of all companies. Of the total, 57,067 sleeping companies are based in Prague. The share of inactive companies is 5.75 p.p. higher among limited liability companies than among joint-stock companies. The analysis by Bisnode Czech Republic also indicates that the highest share of sleeping firms is registered in support activities of business (42.42%), tourism (41.61%), cleaning work (41.24%) and arrangement of unspecialised wholesale and unspecialised wholesale by proxy (39.97%).
